Meet Manolis (Sattwashakti), a 60-year-old self-taught guitar maestro from Greece!
By night, beneath the Aegean stars, he serenaded patrons in greek tavernas, filling the air with Greek traditional melodies, rebetiko(M.Vamvakaris, V. Tsitsanis,etc) and sophisticated popular music(M. Theodorakis, M. Hadjidakis, etc).
By day, he strummed soul-stirring kirtans learned from the Satyananda yoga tradition, leaving the yogis speechless with his raw talent, the various spectrum of emotional vibrations he awakes, and his unique interpretations.
Despite the music in his heart, financial realities often muted his strings. That’s where selfless service, stepped in. Inspired by Sattwashakti’s heartfelt music, his angelic voice and life story, the yogis decided to share his gift with the world, since more people should enjoy his precious talent!
Part of the proceeds will be offered to SATYANANDA MATH-Amba, the philanthropic arm of Satyanandashram Hellas that reaches out to the needs of society!
